Kylee: I wish to meet the Jonas Brothers

Kylee: I wish to meet the Jonas Brothers

“ This was the best day of my life ”

- Kylee, 9

Kylee, who struggles with Cystic Fibrosis, loves the Jonas Brothers. She listens to their CDs everyday. She has posters of them lining up along her bedroom walls and her favorite movie is the Disney Channel’s Camp Rock, featuring the Jonas Brothers. What could be more exciting for this 9-year-old girl then to meet Nick, Joe, and Kevin in person! In June 2009, Kylee’s wish came true when she got to see the boys live in concert at the Tacoma Dome in Seattle.

After flying to Seattle, Kylee and her family got a chance to do all the amazing things that the city had to offer. She got to have dinner in the Space Needle, went to the zoo, and even had a chance to visit the aquarium.  Kylee also got to spend time at the Sci-fi and Music Museums. However, the greatest part of her trip came when a limo arrived to pick Kylee and her family up from their motel and drive them to the Tacoma Dome. There, she finally got to meet the Jonas Brothers and their body guard “Big Rob”.

She got a hug from her favorite, Nick, and all of the boys answered her questions.  The boys even signed a book for her! Kylee had a fantastic time in Seattle.
This is the best day of my life! ”

  • In 2015, Chase's very unique wish was granted. "Chase wished for a hairless cat like "Thor," because he wanted something that could be his hero forever," explained Chase's mother. A cat with two different colored eyes, a yellow Larry Shyatt sweater, and a jet pack was exactly what Chase had envisioned when he wished for his hairless cat, "Thor." ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍ Chase is proof that when there's a wish, there's a way. A wish is an important part of a child’s medical treatment – a chance to see that the impossible is possible. They can help give kids the strength to fight, to get better – to grow up. After being diagnosed with leukemia, Chase needed something to help him look past his diagnosis and give him strength in the face of his critical illness – and that’s what Make-A-Wish provided. #WishWednesday ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍ Together, let’s grant more life-changing wishes for kids like Chase, because where there’s a wish, there’s a way.
