Lillian, like most girls her age, loves playing with her dolls, spending hours cooking in her play kitchen and being outside with her little brother. Diagnosed at a young age with Rhabdomyosarcoma, Lillian, unlike many her age though, has spent over a year of her young life traveling from hospital to hospital and undergoing constant treatment.
Now four-years old, Lillian and her family celebrated her victory over illness with a playset of her own. Her love of playing in parks, a novelty during her treatment, was been transformed into a symbol of her strength as her and her family begin the next chapter of their lives without cancer.
Unbeknownst to Lillian on the day of her wish reveal, her friends, family and the playset of her dreams awaited her in the backyard. Complete with two slides and a club house, Lillian finally had the playset she has longed to have. Entering the yard, Lillian’s wish went from a mere daydream to reality. Without a second thought, Lillian rushed to explore her new hideout. Soon the once empty structure draped in purple streamers was lost beneath Lillian’s closest friends and family.
“It was so awesome… there was a time in Lilly’s life when we never thought we would see a sight like this," described Lilian’s mom as she reflected on the wish reveal.
Thank you Grainger for ensuring Lillian’s wish to have a playset came true. It is because of generous sponsors like Grainger, Make-A-Wish Wyoming is able to grant the wishes of Wyoming children statewide.
