World Wish Day®

April 29 - April 29, 2017

Chris' Legacy

Chris Greicius

In 1980, 7-year-old Chris Greicius of Arizona had only one wish; to be a police officer.  Learning of Chris and his ongoing battle with leukemia, a group of police officers and various law enforcement agencies made it their responsibility to ensure Chris’ wish became a reality. Unbeknownst to Chris, his family or the Arizona community that granted his wish, this was the beginning of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® as we know it today.

Be a part of celebrating the anniversary of Chris’ wish and the over 300,000 wishes that have since been granted worldwide on April 29, 2017 for World Wish Day®.

Brooke: I wish to go to Australia

In celebration of World Wish Day, Make-A-Wish® Wyoming is partnering with law enforcement across the state in remembrance of Chris and the over 500 wishes that have since been granted to Wyoming children battling life-threatening medical conditions. Participating police departments across the state are displaying “Make-A-Wish Supporter” decals on all active duty vehicles throughout the month of April. Participating communities include:

Wyoming Highway Patrol

Green River

Rock Springs
