Emerging from the car with his family in tow, Christian entered Sonny’s RV in Casper without knowing what awaited him. Rounding the corner, a smile swept across Christian’s face as he saw his one true wish come to life before his eyes. In front of him was the camper he had imaged; serving as a symbol of hope for Christian and representative of the time his family would soon be spending with one another.
A self-proclaimed adventurer, Christian’s love of the mountains and outdoors was undeniable as he explored his new camper.
Since his diagnosis with a neurodegenerative condition, time together for Christian and his family has taken precedence above all else.
“We are touched forever. The thing about this wish is it will give and give and give,” explained Christian’s father Rob.
The camper itself, complete with sleeping space for Christian’s family of five, was adorned with all equipment necessary for a successful camping trip, including a raft, cooking utensils intended for use on an open fire and even ingredients to make s’mores. Never losing the excitement in his eyes, the culminating moment came as Christian was handed the keys to his new camper. There is no doubt it was at that moment Christian’s wish was complete.
Thank you to Kelly Walsh High School for raising the funds to ensure wish kids like Christian are able to receive wishes statewide. In addition, a special thank you to Sonny’s RV for their generosity toward Christian and his family. Because of their commitment to Make-A-Wish Wyoming, Christian has the camper of his dreams and his family has been provided with memories for years to come.
