A school tradition grants the wish of a local child

Students trickle in one by one, each trying to find a spot in the crowded gymnasium. It is not an assembly. Class is not cancelled. They have each paid to take part in this school tradition. It is called Rodstock.

It is an all day music festival hosted by the Kelly Walsh Student Council. Hundreds of students watched in the audience as teachers and students alike performed various acts.  Students make a donation to get out of class and take part in this school tradition; all the proceeds go to Make-A-Wish®. This year Rodstock raised over $20,000 enough to grant nearly three wishes of local children!
